Brazil's Trailer Market Stabilizes and Recovers Zonxin Expands in Latin America with Running Gear Components

According to the latest data from the National Association of Road Implement Manufacturers (ANFIR), Brazil's trailer and semi-trailer market posted modest growth in the first nine months of 2026, suggesting the sector may be entering a more stable phase of recovery. Market data: trailer segment improving, overall balance still being found. Registrations in Brazil's trailer and semi-trailer segment reached 53,774 units between January and September 2026, up 0.22% year-on-year (from 53,657 units in the same period last year). September recorded 14,202 units — the second-strongest month of the year, behind July's 15,173 units. Meanwhile, the body-on-chassis segment remained under pressure, with sales down 3.05% year-on-year to 55,941 units. Combined sales across both segments totaled 109,715 units, down 1.47% year-on-year. ANFIR President José Carlos Spricigo said the latest figures suggest the market is gradually finding balance after recent volatility: "The performance of the trailer and semi-trailer sector may signal that we are moving toward equilibrium, indicating that the recovery is consolidating."

Exhibition catalyst: Fenatran expected to sustain the recovery. Spricigo also pointed to the Fenatran transport exhibition, scheduled for November, as a potential catalyst: "With Fenatran taking place in November, an event expected to have a positive impact on business for at least the following four months, we could potentially see results slightly exceeding those of 2025."
