2.7 Installation and Adjustment of Air Suspension Height Control Valve

Time:2025-10-12   Edit:Admin    Views:156

2.7.1 Fix the height control valve to the upper height valve bracket with bolts. After adjusting the position, fix the lower height valve bracket to the axle.

2.7.2 Adjustment of the height control valve:

a. Check whether the air circuit connections meet the drawing requirements;

b. Supply air pressure of 0.6–0.8 MPa, and use soapy water to test the airtightness of all connections;

c. After installation of each air control valve body and pipeline, check during the upward motion of the air suspension whether the linkage rod interferes with the frame. The effective length of the horizontal arm of the height valve should be ≥200 mm, and the angle between the vertical rod and the horizontal arm should be slightly less than 90°;

d. Rotate the balance lever of the height control valve upward to inflate (increase chassis height), and rotate it downward to deflate (decrease chassis height). Adjust the angle of the balance lever so that the suspension installation height reaches the design dimension H. Keep the balance lever horizontal and at a 90° angle with the vertical rod, then tighten bolts 1, 2, and 3. Improper installation may damage the height control valve;

e. If the air circuit lifting and lowering functions are reversed, loosen bolt 1, pull out the balance lever, rotate the rotary valve 180°, reinstall the balance lever, and tighten the bolt;

f. When the air suspension system remains without working air pressure for a long period, prevent the frame from pressing directly onto the uninflated airbags to avoid airbag folding damage.

2.7.3 The installation method of the load-sensing valve is basically the same as that of the height control valve. The balance lever angle of the load-sensing valve depends on the vehicle’s load distribution. Generally, when unloaded, the balance lever forms a downward angle of 7–10° relative to the parallel surface of the load-sensing valve bracket. The air circuit adjustment of the load-sensing valve is basically the same as that of the height control valve.

2.7.4 Installation and Adjustment of Rotary Slide Valve

The rotary slide valve provides overall lifting and lowering functions, allowing the vehicle body height to adjust by ±100 mm. It is suitable for container chassis, low-bed transport trailers, and other types of vehicles, enabling height adjustment according to the cargo platform requirements.The rotary slide valve has five positions, namely: Lift, Lift Pause, Neutral, Lower Pause, and Lower.

When loading or unloading, the rotary slide valve can be adjusted to the lifting or lowering position according to the loading platform height. After reaching the desired height, it must be set to the pause position to lock the vehicle height. Failure to do so may result in airbag damage. Before driving, the rotary slide valve must be turned to the neutral position so the chassis can automatically adjust to the proper ride height.

Note: During driving, it is strictly forbidden to turn the rotary slide valve to the lift or lower positions.
