2.2 Air Suspension Guide Leaf Spring and Axle Assembly

2.2.1 Installation of Leaf Spring Seats

2.2.1.1 Prepare the positioning fixture, and adjust the leaf spring center distance L1 ±0.5 mm according to the design scheme .

2.2.1.2 Place the leaf spring seats onto the preset fixture.

Note: The left and right leaf spring seats are symmetrical parts.

2.2.1.3 According to the design scheme, confirm whether the axle is installed in the normal or reverse orientation. Place the axle onto the leaf spring seats and adjust it to ensure that the distance from the axle centerline to both leaf spring seats is equal, and that the machined planes of the two seats are on the same level.
After confirming the position, tack weld the leaf spring seats onto the axle tube.

Note: The axle must be installed in the correct direction. Incorrect installation may cause interference with the air suspension!

2.2.2 Fixing of Guide Leaf Spring and Axle

2.2.2.1 Place the guide leaf spring onto the fixed leaf spring seats, and sequentially install the round clamp plate, U-bolts, axle clamp plate, and nuts.
Before alignment, only tighten the nuts slightly. 

2.2.2.2 Adjust the center distance of the guide leaf spring bushings and the axle center distance, ensuring P1 ±1 mm; adjust the guide leaf spring center distance L1 ±1 mm.

2.2.2.3 After adjustment, tack weld the axle clamp plate to the axle for positioning, then weld the axle clamp plate and the leaf spring seat according to requirements.
The weld height shall be not less than 15 mm.

2.2.2.4 Tighten the U-bolt nuts in sequence to the specified torque.

2.2.2.5 Check whether the relative position between the guide leaf spring center and the axle center meets the design requirements; if not, adjust according to the above steps.
